ABOUT:

The colour, light, and forms of buildings and landscapes are the inspiration for my work. I usually have a sketchbook to hand, particularly when I'm travelling, and I sketch outdoors with ink and watercolour, draw in the studio in ink, graphite and charcoal, or paint in acrylic or watercolour. I also experiment with printmaking and ceramics.

I grew up in Liverpool and trained as an architect at Bath University in the 70s. After qualifying I worked in London for two years until moving overseas with my husband and his work. I practiced as an architect in Cairo and Oman. After having three children abroad I was out of touch with the architectural world, but loving my drawing and painting, and having exhibitions. Moving on to the Far East, Oman again, Syria, and lastly the Netherlands we returned to live in Devon six years ago.

I have exhibited in Muscat, Brunei, Damascus, The Hague, Devon and Cornwall. My work is hanging on walls worldwide!
