About
The colour, light and forms of landscapes and buildings are my inspiration. I usually have a sketchbook to hand, with pens and a small box of watercolours, particularly when I'm travelling. Back in the studio I work mainly in acrylic, on canvas.
I grew up in Liverpool and trained as an Architect at Bath University. After qualifying I worked in London for two fun packed but hard working years. I then found myself moving overseas with my husband and his work, which led to work as an architect in Cairo and Oman. It was in the beautiful and inspiring country of Oman that I found time to sketch and paint. My first exhibition was in Muscat,. Then there were more over the years in Brunei and Damascus. I shared many exhibitions in The Hague. My work is hanging on walls all over the world!!
On returning to live in the UK I studied for two years on the Drawing and Applied Art degree course at UWE in Bristol, after which I set up studio at home in Devon, where I now focus on painting amazing Dartmoor and it's surrounding fields and hedgerows.
